I took on the role of lead designer once Pluto’s Ascent launched on both the App Store and on Google Play. I worked on two teams on this project over the course of ten months.
During my time on Pluto’s Ascent, I designed systems and features, using our analytics as a driving force for decision making. I also contributed to deciding on the team composition necessary to complete our goals. In addition, I conducted research into monetization in mobile card games, using this information to design a rewarding yet profitable monetization scheme. Another responsibility I upheld was ensuring that all design documentation was clear and accessible to the team. This honed my skills in design documentation, specifically in recording my reasoning for decisions made and in goal oriented design.
I continued developing my skills in data analysis, keeping track of our KPIs and comparing them to our comps. I also formed goals for the game to reach by set durations of time. It was my responsibility to keep the team up to date on our progress and analytics. I also learned the importance of granular data that presents and confers an understanding of how users progress through the game.
